Why do I need this app?
If you have an iPhone 3G or 3GS - You don't! Apple have finally provided native MMS capability. on the iPhone, to get started just text ACTIVE to 1010 and O2 will set it up for you.
If you have an iPhone 2G (the original, brushed aluminium, iPhone) then Apple have not enabled the MMS facility in OS 3.0 for these iPhones and we continue to provide an alternative means to allow you to send and recieve MMS messages using your iPhone 2G.
Downloading the App
"MMS Photo Messaging" is available on the UK App Store from within iTunes or your iPhone.
Getting Started
Simply launch the MMS application and you will be prompted for your O2 Mobile Number and PIN. The
application
will then retrieve your MMS messages from O2. This also verifies you own the number.
You cannot purchase any credit for outbound messaging until you have successfully logged in.
Outbound Messaging
Before you can send MMS messages you will need to purchase credits, this can be done here or within the app.
All payments are processed by PayPal and most major Credit/Debit cards are accepted.
Ongoing Costs
There are no recurring costs, you pay only for the messages you use. Each message costs one credit.
Messages which are unsuccessful due to user error (e.g. invalid number) or due to the receiving mobile
network
are still charged for as we still incur a cost when sending them.
